Our client requires a network and systems engineer for 3 months whilst someone is on long service leave.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to IT support requests and troubleshoot a variety of hardware and software issues

• Provide technical assistance and guidance to users on the use of computer systems, applications, and peripherals

• Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and security

• Maintain and ensure network equipment is working optimally.

• Assist with the installation, configuration, and testing of new IT equipment and software

• Maintain accurate records of all support activities and ensure timely resolution of issues

• Collaborate with the wider IT team to identify and implement process improvements

• Contribute to the development and delivery of IT training to end-users

What we're looking for

• Relevant technical qualifications in Information Technology or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in a similar IT support

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with users at all levels

• Solid understanding of operating systems, software applications, and hardware troubleshooting

• Familiarity with IT security best practices and data backup/recovery procedures

• Willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies

Must have

The environment is HPE Aruba on the networking side and Hyper-V on the compute side, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience with both of these technologies.
