HRM is partnering with a well‑established not‑for‑profit organisation on the Sunshine Coast to recruit an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join their People & Culture team.
This is a broad generalist role suited to an HR professional who enjoys providing practical advice across HR, employee relations and industrial relations, while contributing to positive workforce outcomes in a purpose‑led environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Specialist will deliver professional HR advice, support and operational activities across the organisation, ensuring a seamless employee experience and supporting strategic people initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing timely, accurate HR, ER and IR advice across the employee lifecycle
- Supporting leaders with probation, performance management, disciplinary matters, investigations and terminations
- Interpreting industrial instruments, legislation, policies and procedures
- Reviewing, drafting and implementing HR policies, procedures and tools
- Coaching and supporting leaders to build people‑management capability
- Maintaining and utilising HR systems to ensure compliant record keeping and effective reporting
- Collaborating with payroll, recruitment and learning and development teams
- Contributing to HR projects, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting organisational compliance and workforce data analysis
- Occasional travel to sites, as required
About the Candidate HRM is seeking a confident and adaptable HR professional who builds strong relationships and delivers practical, commercially balanced HR solutions.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or a related discipline (essential)
- Experience in a similar HR role within a medium to large organisation, ideally multi‑site
- Strong knowledge across HR, employee relations and industrial relations
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities with excellent attention to detail
- Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- A flexible, resilient and solutions‑focused working style
Mandatory Requirements - Right to work in Australia
- National Police Check with no disclosable outcomes
- Valid worker screening clearance
- Current QLD Blue Card
- Current driver licence
